Kentucky may be land locked, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy the many options nearby to swim, fish, and boat. From the backyard watering hole, to the rentable kayaks, we got y’all covered.

Backyard Watering Hole

The pool at Camp Norwood is available to those staying at headquarters. All entering the pool must rinse off before entering. No children without supervision. No Diving.

Elkhorn Creek is a 99-mile-long stream known for its excellent smallmouth bass fishing, smallmouth bass, rock bass, and channel catfish, as well as paddling, canoeing, and kayaking. There are multiple boat access points throughout Georgetown.

Eagle Creek is a stream that meanders through Kentucky with access to a boat ramp in Sadieville. There are MANY crayfish that live in the waterway. The depth of the stream varies based on the weather. Downed trees may hinder travel after a big storm, portaging may be needed during a dry season.

Both waterways run very slow and don’t require pickup because it’s fairly easy to paddle upstream. Both waterways offer great fishing, but minimal swimming for the protection of the purity in the water. There’s contactless access to rentable kayaks in Georgetown across from Yuko En on the Elk Horn which only requires an app.

Boating or Kayaking at the 84 acre Corinth Lake offers a peaceful and local experience on the water. Only trolling motors are allowed. 24 hour fishing with bluegill, catfish, and bass stocked.

Williamstown Lake offers boating, skiing, and swimming on 360 acres. A 40 mile speedlimit is set for boating. Swimming is allowed at the boat ramps.
